President Donald Trump has responded to Bruce Springsteen after the rock icon criticized the president during a recent concert.
The President wrote a lengthy post on his Truth Social account Friday in response to the The Boss‘s comments directed at his administration’s policies during his opening tour date on Wednesday in Manchester, England.
“I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States, wrote Trump on Truth Social. ”Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy — Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK.."
The president also stated the musician was “dumb as a rock,” and a “dried out ‘prune’ of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!).”
On Wednesday, Springsteen said to his audience: “In my home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration.”
President Trump and Springsteen have levied insults back and forth at one another for the last decade. The 75-year-old star endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris during her 2024 presidential campaign and called Trump “the most dangerous candidate in my lifetime.” He also called President Trump a “moron” in an interview with Rolling Stone in 2016, among other discredits over the years.
President Trump compared crowd sizes during a rally stop in Wildwood in 2024, stating, “You know they’d all vote for me. You know, like Bruce Springsteen. We have a much bigger crowd than Bruce Springsteen. Right?”
The President also accused the singer of “betrayal of his wannabe working-class persona” when he endorsed former VP Harris.
